Children's/Kids Minister

Cayuga Christian Church is seeking an individual who is passionate about discipling kids and families toward Jesus. The Kids Minister will use his/her gifts, talents, and skills to provide leadership to the Children's Ministry in the ages of birth through 6th Grade. The Children's Minister is currently a part-time position. They will work in cooperation with the Ministry Staff Team and will be under the supervision of the elders. They must have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and a desire to work alongside families to teach and mentor children. A degree or background in Christian Ministries, Biblical Studies, Early Childhood Education, or a related field is preferred. They are expected to maintain a positive, open, and collaborative relationship with other staff members, attend staff meetings to contribute to overall ministry planning, attend Elder and Board meetings, set goals & objectives for the Kids Ministry, and participate in overall church ministry activities as needed and time if allows ADMINISTRATION, PLANNING, SHEPHERDING. 

Help disciple children in their relationship with Jesus and equip parents to do the same by establishing connections and relationships with children and families within the community. This will be done through children's church, Sunday School classes, and mid-week activities in which the Children's Minister will ensure there are quality volunteers and leaders in place, as well as a safety and security team. At times, this individual may be responsible for creating and posting content on the website, social media, etc., as well as planning and overseeing various retreats and retreats.
